Bessie Flynn Patterson
Bessie Flynn Patterson, 86, of Washington, Pa., formerly of Beaver Falls, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 1988, in Presbyterian Medical Center, Washington.
Born Aug. 23, 1902, in Good Intent, Pa., a daughter of the late Michael J. and Mary Sprowls Flynn, she was a member of College Hill Presbyterian Church, and the Womens Association of the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Patterson, in September 1983; a son, John Michael Patterson; three brothers, Cecil B. Flynn, C. Moreford Flynn and Russell S. Flynn, and a sister Hazel Flynn.
Surviving are a nephew, William J. Flynn, Washington; a niece, JoAnne Mahlke, St. Clairsville, Ohio, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. in the WILLIAM G. NEAL FUNERAL HOMES LTD., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where a service will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Keith Horning officiating.
Interment will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
