 DEATHS.
  January 3d, at his residence, near Good Intent, this county, of typhoid pneumonia, JOHN S. SPROWLS, aged about fifty-two years. In the demise of Mr. Sprowls our community has suffered a loss, as he was eminently useful in his day and generation. By his frugality, industry, and enterprise, he raised himself from a small beginnings to competence and wealth, affording an eminent example to those young men who start out in life without means to cerry (sic) them through. He left a wide circle of friends and relatives to lament his loss. It may be truly said that Mr. Sprowls was a devoted husband, a kind father, and a good citizen.
