 Thomas Porter, Jr.
  Thomas Porter, Jr., 68, of Elyria, surrounded by loved ones passed away Friday, July 3, 2015 at St. Johns Hospital in Westlake, after a lengthy battle with heart disease and cancer.
  Born the son of Thomas Porter, Sr., a pilot killed in flight; Tom was raised by his mother and father Ray and Mabel Meyer of Grafton. After graduating from Midview High School, class of Õ64, he later achieved an Associate Degree in Micro Graphics Design from LCCC. Tom was a local Teamsters Union Member who worked his way to retirement for Kerr Beverage Distribution in Amherst. He also worked for Ohio Vending, before finally becoming a local bar owner in Elyria 2001.
  Tom was an avid lover of golf and traveling. He threw darts in the Ohio Vending League for many years. He was a loving and active father who coached little league games and loved to take trips with his family.
  He is survived by his three sons, Thomas Porter III, Jeremy Porter, Casey Porter and a daughter, Samantha Moore.
  True to his nature, Tom became an organ donor, giving another a chance to see with his eyes.
  A memorial will be held Monday, July 13, 2015 at 6 P.M. at Lone Tree Tavern, 33009 Lorain Rd., North Ridgeville.
  Donations can be sent in Toms (sic) name to Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main St., Grafton, OH 44044.
