 August 14, 1926 - June 21, 2016
  Betty Lee Shenal, 89, of Mannington, passed away on Tuesday (June 21, 2016) in her home.
  She was born Aug. 14, 1926, in Glovers Gap, a daughter of the late William Franklin Sawyer and Margaret J. Morris Sawyer.
  She is survived by her husband, Jack Shenal, with whom she was married to for 47 years. She is also survived by two sons, John Porter and wife Carol of Bridgeport and William "Butch" Porter and wife Sue of Mannington; six grandchildren, Johnny Porter III, Cody Stephen Porter, Chuck Porter Jr., Anna Elizabeth "Sis" Waddell, Robbie Porter and Chris Porter; three great-grandchildren, CJ Porter, Bryanna Waddell and Matthew "Bubby" Waddell; one brother, Thomas Sawyer and wife Joyce of Shinnston; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Porter of Phoenix, Arizona; a brother-in-law, Dick Shenal and wife Josephine of New Washington, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Delores Manzo of Monongah; several nieces and nephews; a
 special cousin, Linda Blankenship; and special friends, Danny and Sue Long and Loretta Tennant.
  In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a son, Robert Donald Porter; two brothers, Charles Sawyer and William Sawyer; and a grandson, William Charles Porter II.
  Betty worked at the Garden Fresh in Mannington. She enjoyed quilting and enjoyed flowers, yard sales and flea markets. She also enjoyed camping in Grant County and was a huge collector of cookbooks. She was member of the First Baptist Church in Mannington and was also a 50 Year Pin member of the Eastern Star.
  The family would like to thank Monongalia General Hospital, HealthSouth and Amedisys Hospice as well as Pastor Greg Roth for all their help and care of Betty.
  Family and friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. today at Masters Funeral Home, Mannington. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Greg Roth officiating. Interment will follow at the Viewpoint Cemetery.
