a. Note:   N2784 "Mrs. Anna Allum Fugard, a native of this county, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jack Farmer, of Newton, Iowa, Friday, May 11, aged 77 years, of pneumonia. She had been in failing health for several months. Mrs. Fugard was born in Richhill township, this county, December 22, 1850, and was a daughter of Jonathan and Elizabeth Supler Allum, deceased. She was a graduate of Waynesburg College in the class of 1876. For a few years she taught in the schools of Richhill township. In 1883 she removed to Iowa where she had since resided. She was a member of the Presbyterian church and was highly esteemed. Her husband, Ira G. Fugard, died November 19, 1926. She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Guy Wilson, of Buffalo Lake, Minn.; Mrs. Earl Smith, of Des Moines, Iowa, and Mrs. Jack Farmer, of Newton, Iowa, and one grandchild, Geraldine Wilson, and one sister, Mrs. Lydia Huffman, of Graysville, this county. The funeral was held on Monday. Interment in the cemetery at Newton, Iowa."
