Sunday, February 18, 1973, shortly after being admitted to North Arundel Hospital, Glen Burney, Maryland. She was born November 18, 1898 at Morris Township near Dearlick the daughter of the late David and Jane Porter Powers (this is an error). Her husband William John Thompson preceded her in death. She spent the early part of her life in Morris Township and several years in Bellsville and Nineveh communities. She spent the last six years in Maryland. She was a retired school teacher and taught in Nineveh and Prosperity communities for over 30 years. She was a member of the WSCS of Linthicum United Methodist Church, where she was a member. She also was a member of Rebekah Lodge No. 121, Bellsville, charter member of Senior Citizen Club and of the Pennsylvania State Retired Teachers Association. She is survived by one son, William R. Thompson, Linthicum, Maryland; one grandson, Michael John; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Reynolds, Washington; two brothers, Charles Powers, Washington and Herman Powers, Canonsburg.
