 Wilbur L. Powers
  Wilbur Lee Powers, 51 (sic), 1023 Woodlawn Ave., died at 1 p.m. Sunday in Guernsey Memorial Hospital.
  A former employe (sic) of Universal Potteries, he had operated Powers Gulf Service on Woodlawn Ave., for the past six years.
  Born in Washington (NOTE: THE LOCATION OF HIS BIRTH CONFLICTS WITH INFORMATION IN ANOTHER SOURCE), Pa., March 29, 1906, he was a son of the late Albert and Ida Mae Porter Powers. He was a member of St. BenedictÕs Catholic Church.
  Mr. Powers leaves his wife, the former Mary Daniels to whom he was married in 1938; a daughter, Miss Marcia Lee Powers, Waukegan, Ill.; two brothers, Charles Powers, Washington, Pa., and Herman Powers, Strabane, Pa.; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Reynolds, Elizabeth, Pa., Mrs. Elsie Haines, Cannonsburg (sic), Pa., and Mrs. Gertrude Thompson of Waynesburg, Pa. A brother and a sister are deceased.

  Services for Wilbur Lee Powers, 61, 1023 Woodlawn Ave., who died at 1 p.m. Sunday in Guernsey Memorial Hospital here, will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. BenedictÕs Catholic Church. Msgr. Patrick Maher will officiate and burial will follow in Northwood Cemetery.
  Friends will be received at Scott Funeral Home here from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
