 MRS. ELSIE J. HAINES
  Mrs. Elsie J. Haines, 70, of 509 Highfield Avenue, Canonsburg, died Monday morning, December 11, 1972, in South Hills Convalescent Center, Canonsburg, after a serious illness of two weeks.
  She was born in Washington on April 18, 1902, a daughter of Albert and Ida Mae Porter Powers. A resident of Canonsburg for 54 years, she had been employed by the Canonsburg Pottery for several years.
  Surviving are her husband, Emory H. Haines; one daughter, Ella Mae, wife of Edgar J. Anderson of Washington; three sons, John C., Jack W., and Royal C. Haines, all of Canonsburg; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Thompson of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Elizabeth Reynolds of Washington R.D.1; two brothers, Charles Powers of Washington and Herman Powers of Strabane; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
  Two brothers and one sister are deceased.

Wylie Funeral Home, 314 West Pike Street, Houston from 7 to 9 p. m. Monday and from 2 to 4 p. m. Tuesday where services will be conducted at 8 p. m. Tuesday by the Rev. Charles G. Skuce. Burial will be in Panama, N. Y.
