FLYNN Mrs. Mary Minerva Sprowls Flynn, wife of M. J. Flynn died yesterday at 8:20 a. m. at her home, 21 Laurel avenue, following a lingering illness. Mrs. Flynn came to Washington 32 years ago from Claysville. She was born March 11, 1869 in Greene County, near the Simpson Store, a daughter of Simon and Jane Wise Sprowls. She was married September 19, 1889 and Mr. and Mrs. Flynn celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in September of 1939. She was a member of the Union Valley Methodist Church, near Time. For a number of years Mrs. Flynn was associated with her husband in the store business and then in real estate. Surviving, besides her husband, are the following children: Charles Morford Flynn, Ft. Myers, Fla.; Cecil Burns Flynn, Washington; Russell Sprowls Flynn, Clarksburg, W. Va.; Bessie Jane, wife of John C. Patterson, Beaver Falls. One daughter, Nellie Hazel, died in 1916. Six sisters and one brother: Mrs. Sallie Dague, Washington R. D.; Mrs. William Porter, Nineveh; Mrs. John Cary, Ten Mile; Mrs. Delmar Huffman, Graysville; Mrs. Frank Barker, Washington; Mrs. Pearl McGlumphy, Washington, and Jacob Sprowls, Burnsville; and five grandchildren.
