It is spelled Anne in files copied from the Cornerstone Genealogical Society in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. -------------------- Miss Margaret A. Porter Miss Margaret A. Porter, a well known woman of Franklin township, died suddenly Sunday morning, December 11, at 1:30 o'clock at the home of her niece, Mrs. Robert W. Nichols, three miles south of Waynesburg, on Smith Creek. Miss Porter was suddenly stricken with acute indigestion which affected her heart and she lived only about twenty minutes. She was the daughter of John and Hannah Rinehart Porter, deceased, and would have been 77 years old on Wednesday, having been born December 14, 1844, in Franklin township. She was the last of a family of eight children and had spent practically all her life in the Waynesburg vicinity. Early in life she became a member of the Morrisville Methodist Protestant church. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Charles M. Smith, of Waynesburg, were held at the Nichols home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment was in the Oakmont cemetery.
