M. on November 14, 1898. -------------------- Greene County Marriage License Docket 1905-1907, Vol. 11, page 294, No. 4540-Greene County Court House, Waynesburg, Pennsylvania gives his first name as "Inghram", and indicates he was deceased at the time of his daughter's marriage. -------------------- -Inghram Porter died suddenly at his home in Wayne township, on Sunday night (NOTE: THE DAY OF DEATH CONFLICTS WITH INFORMATION FOUND IN OTHER SOURCES), of heart disease. He went out to feed his hogs in the evening and was found lying upon the ground by some member of his family. His death occurred a few hours later. He was a brother of Steward Justus Porter, of the Children's Home; David, of Morris township, Levi, of Center and Mrs. Jacob King, of Wayne, and was a respected citizen. Inghram Porter, one of the prominent and respected citizens of Wayne township died very suddenly last Monday evening. He had just returned home from Blacksville and had gone out to feed the hogs when he fell of an apoplectic stroke. His two little girls returning from school found him lying on the ground and gave the alarm. He lived until about 10 oÕclock but never regained consciousness. Deceased was a brother to Jesse Porter, steward of the ChildrenÕs Home, Levi Porter of Center township, David Porter of Morris township, Mrs. Jacob King and Mrs. Caleb A. Spragg, of Wayne township and Mrs. Henry Huffman of Franklin township and Margaret Porter who had resided with Inghram since his wifeÕs decease some 10 or 12 years ago. He also leaves two daughters Grace and Sadie aged about 14 and 12 years respectively. Mr. Porter was born September 22, 1852 and was therefore a little over 46 years of age. The funeral was conducted Wednesday by Rev. Williams of Blacksville. The attendance was very large showing the respect in which deceased was held by his neighbors.
