C., Saturday morning, November 23, aged 62 years, after an illness of nearly two years following a cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. Sprowls was born near Burnsville and was a son of John and Mary Ann Sprowls. He was a graduate of Waynesburg college. He later studied law and was admitted to the Washington county bar. For the past thirty years he had been employed in the treasury department at Washington, D. C. Beside his wife he is survived by two children, Allen Sprowls and Mrs. Lucy Havol, both of Washington, D. C. There also survive his mother, Mrs. Mary Ann Wallace, of Burnsville, and two brothers and two sisters, Dr. J. N. Sprowls, of Claysville; A. H. Sprowls, of Elgin, Ill.; Mrs. Anna Smith, of Burnsville, and Mrs. Clara Warren, of South Dakota. The remains were brought to the home of his mother at Burnsville and the funeral services were held Monday afternoon. Interment in Windy Gap cemetery.
