The following information was recieved in an e-mail, Anna Margaret Sprowls, Janet Inglis, Thursday, September 4, 2008:
After her husband Frank Smith died in 1910, Anna returned to her motherÕs home in Pennsylvania and took care of her mother until 1918 when her mother died at the age of 94.Ê Then Anna spent the rest of her days living near her children, Charles in Nevada, Missouri, and Alma (Grandma) at Alpine, Texas.Ê

According to Grandmother she became blind and helpless in her late 80's but she kept in good spirits and had a hopeful disposition to the last. She was ever grateful for the many kindnesses showered upon her. She died instantly, at her breakfast, on March 9, 1950, aged 92 years. She lies at rest on a slope in the Masonic Cemetery (Mt. Moriah Cemetery) at Kansas City, Mo., where her son, Charles is buried beside her.Ê He died May 5 (NOTE: THE DAY OF DEATH CONFLICTS WITH THAT LISTED ON HIS DEATH CERTIFICATE), 1957.
