 MISS ELMIRA SPROWLS
  West Finley, March 7. - Miss Elmira Sprowls, aged 74 years, one of the best known and most highly respected residents of this end of the county died at her home near here last night at 10 o'clock after a very brief illness. Her death was due to a paralytic stroke.
  Miss Sprowls had been apparently in her usual health up to last Sunday morning when she was suddenly stricken. While she was able to talk up to this morning her life was despaired of. She grew worse today and gradually lapsed into unconsciousness.
  Miss Sprowls was a daughter of Henry and Mary Sprowls and had been a lifelong resident of this community. She became a member of the Windy Gap Presbyterian church while a young girl and throughout her life took an active interest in the various church organizations and other charitable work of the community.
  She leaves two brothers and a sister, Riley Sprowls of Burnsville, Wilson Sprowls of Waterford, Ohio, and Mrs. Annette Scott of East Finley township.

  Funeral for Miss Elmira Sprowls
  Claysville, March 8. - Funeral services for Miss Elmira Sprowls, aged 73 years, widely known and highly respected resident of West Finley township, who died Thursday evening following a stroke last Sunday, the first illness she had ever had, will be held Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock in the late home, the home in which she was born, reared and died, in charge of Rev. Samuel Davis. Interment will be in the West Finley cemetery.
