 1940 (April 15) census data from the census images for Cecil Township (Morganza), Washington County, Pennsylvania (Enumeration District 63-29 - sheet 10A - image 19 - line 3) on Ancestry.com. The census indicates that he was a 30 year old poultry man, working at the Pennsylvania Training School as a wage or salary worker in government work. He had worked 58 hours for pay or profit during the week of March 24-30 and 50 weeks in 1939, earning $1,020. He did not receive income of $50 or more from other sources. He had completed 4 years of college. He was married and living with his wife, 1 son and 1 daughter on a farm, which was rented for $10 per month, on what appears to be the grounds of the Pennsylvania Training School in the 5th Precinct. On April 1, 1935, he lived on a farm in rural Washington County, Pennsylvania. He is listed as having been born in Pennsylvania as was his father. His mother is listed as having been born in Ohio. He did not have a Federal Social Security Number and no deductions for Federal Old-Age Insurance or Railroad Retirement were made from his wages or salary in 1939. The supplemental information indicates his usual occupation was an architectural draftsman working in construction work as a wage or salary worker in private work. His given name and middle initial are listed as "Robert M" in this census.

 Berry
  Robert McConnell Berry, 69, of Eighty Four R.D.3, died Sunday, November 6, 1977, at 9:30 a.m. in Washington Hospital.
  He was born November 6, 1908, a son of William E. and Elsie Weir Berry, and was a descendant of one of the pioneer families of Washington County.
  He was a member of Emmanuel United Presbyterian Church, where he served as a trustee and elder for many years, sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, and was a member of the General Council of Presbytery of Washington, serving as a former trustee of the group.
  He was a graduate of Cecil High School and Penn State University in 1934. He was a registered architect, maintaining an office near his home in Eighty Four. He was also a member of the American Institute of Architects, Alpha Chi Rho Fraternity, and was one of the founders of the Washington Camera Club.
  On September (NOTE: THE MONTH OF HIS MARRIAGE CONFLICTS WITH INFORMATION FOUND IN ANOTHER SOURCE) 29, 1934, he married Alice R. Post in Wellsburg, W.Va., who survives.
  Also surviving are one son, Robert P., Eighty Four; two daughters, Nancy, wife of James W. Saxon, Eighty Four, and Rebecca, wife of Richard H. Quay, Oxford, Ohio; and five grandchildren, Michelle Berry, Elizabeth Saxon, and William, Daniel and Marie Quay.
  BERRY - Friends of Robert McConnell Berry of Eighty Four R.D.3, who died Sunday, November 6, 1977, will be received in the Richard H. Piatt Funeral Home, 130 East Wheeling Street, from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be held Wednesday, November 9, at 11 a.m. in Emmanuel United Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Leroy Beckes. The family suggests donation be made to the Southwestern Pennsylvania heart (sic) Fund. Burial in the church cemetery.
