Notes
a. Note:   N270 Barnet Reinhart, son of Thomas and Anna Maria Rinehart, was born about 1758, and died in Greene County, about 1822, his will being probated October 26, 1822. He warranted a tract of land on Coal Lick on December 23, 1784, under the title "Lions Bush" located adjoining the land of Thomas Reinhart, Sr. He was living there when he served in Captain James Archer's Militia Company. He is said to have been married twice, his first wife being Elizabeth ............. . His second wife was Ruth Styles, probably the mother of most of his children. She is called Ruth Reinhardt in the will of her father, Stephen Styles, on Monongalia County, West Virginia.

The following appeared in an article "Money needed to replace roof at county museum" by C. R. Nelson and refers to the lands on which the museum now sits:
Its lands were patented on Dec. 15, 1789, to Barnet Rinehart as a 225-acre tract. Upon his death in 1822, the land was divided between three sons. In 1861, land was sold to Robinson Downey, who then sold 147 acres "Strict Measure" to Greene County for $5,000 to be used as a county home for the poor.
