 Greene County Deed Book 322, page 596 Between Linnie L. Powers and Charles A. Powers, her husband, Mettie M. Smith and Roy M. Smith, her husband, of the county of Washington and state of Pennsylvania and Florence A. Naser, now unmarried, of Seattle, state of Washington, to Henry A. Phillips of Pittsburgh, one half of all the Pittsburgh, or River vein of coal underlying two tracts of land in Wayne Township, Pennsylvania. This indenture indicates Alma Porter died intestate, unmarried and without issue December 23, 1914, leaving the three sisters named to survive her. The consideration was $1496.42. August 1, 1925

 Mrs. Charles A. Powers
  Mrs. Linnie Lenora Powers, 58, wife of Charles A. Powers, died in her home at Laboratory Tuesday, after a lingering illness.
  A native of Greene County, Mrs. Powers had been a resident of the Washington district for over 30 years. She was a member of Allison Avenue Baptist Church.
  Besides her husband, she leaves two children, Bernice Louise and Raymond Allen, at home. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. Roy Smith, Washington, R. D.; Mrs. Florence Naser, Washington; Mrs. Kenneth Scott, Waynesburg; Miss Goldie E. Porter, Waynesburg, and Clarence, Detroit.
  Funeral services will be held in the late home Thursday, June 29, at 3:30 p.m. in charge of the Rev. David Morris. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery.

 Mrs. Linnie L. Powers
  Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon for Mrs. Linnie Lenora Powers, aged 58, wife of Charles A. Powers and a native of Greene county, who died Tuesday, June 27, at 11 a. m., in her home at Laboratory after a lingering illness. The rites were held in her late home at 3:30 p. m., with Rev. David Morris in charge, and interment was in the Washington cemetery. Mrs. Powers was born in Greene county, but had resided in the Washington district for the past 30 years. She was a member of the Allison Avenue Baptist church of Washington. Besides her husband she leaves two children, Bernice Louise and Raymond Allen, at home, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Roy Smith, Washington, R. D.; Mrs. Florence Naser, Washington; Mrs. Kenneth W. Scott and Miss Goldie E. Porter, of Waynesburg, and Clarence Porter, of Detroit, Mich.
