(NOTE: THE MIDDLE INITIAL CONFLICTS WITH THAT FROM OTHER SOURCES) and Elizabeth Kent Porter, she was born near Hopewell, Greene County, March 28, 1883. She was graduated from the School of Nursing of the old Washington Hospital and practiced her profession in the community and in the western states prior to her marriage. She was a member of the Allison Avenue Baptist Church. Besides her husband she is survived by two children: Raymond A., Lakewood, O.; and Bernice, wife of Herbert W. Martin, Brookline, Pittsburgh; also a half-sister, Goldie M. Porter, Waynesburg; and a half-brother, Clarence Porter, Detroit, Mich.; and five grandchildren.
