 JAMES FRANKLIN BREESE
  James Franklin Breese, 85, of 41 Sycamore street, Waynesburg, died at 7:15 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 9, 1957, at his home after a long illness.
  He was a well known retired farmer and stock raiser, a former road supervisor of Center Twp. and a two-term member of the former Greene County Poor Board.
  Born March 9, 1871, in Morris Township, he was a son of the late Elymus and Catherine Huffman Breese, and spent much of his life in Center Township with the past nine years as a resident of Waynesburg. His first wife, Catherine Jane Throckmorton Breese, preceded him in death Dec. 5, 1945.
  Surviving children by his first marriage are Mrs. Mary Johnston of Waynesburg-Cameron Star Route, Mrs. Fannie Conklin of Sycamore, R. D. 1; Mrs. Lizzie Crouse of Nineveh, R. D.; Mrs. Joy (sic) Crouse of Nineveh, R. D.; Mrs. Ruth Barton (sic) of Waynesburg, R. D. 4; Mrs. Pearl Conkey of Waynesburg-Cameron Star Route, and a son, James F. Breese of Washington; 33 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
  Also surviving is his second wife, Mrs. Blanche Staggers Breese, four step-children, nine step-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Margaret Ewing of Washington, a brother, Henry Breese of Ellwood (sic), Ind. Four children, two brothers and one sister are deceased.
  He was a member of the Throckmorton Methodist Church.
  BREESE - Friends of James Franklin Breese of 41 Sycamore street, Waynesburg, who died Saturday, Feb. 9, 1957, are being received at the George I. Church Funeral Home, 197 North Maiden street, Waynesburg, where funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, with Rev. R. B. Acheson and Rev. John T. Doney officiating. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville.

 JAMES F. BREESE
  James Franklin Breese, 85 years, died Saturday, February 9, 1957, in his home on Sycamore street. Mr. Breese had resided in Center Township where he had engaged in farming. He had served as a road supervisor and also served two terms as a member of Greene County Poor Board. Mr. Breese was a son of Elymus and Catherine Huffman Breese, and was born March 9, 1871, in Morris Township. His first wife, Catherine Jane Throckmorton Breese, died December 5, 1945. They were parents of 10 children. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Mary Johnston and Mrs. Pearl Conkey, both of Cameron Star Route, Waynesburg; Mrs. Fannie Conklin, Sycamore R. D. 1; Mrs. Lizzie Crouse and Mrs. Ivy Crouse, both of Nineveh, R. D. 1, and Mrs. Ruth Barton (sic) of Waynesburg R. D. 4; one son, James F. Breese of Washington; 33 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Four children are deceased. Also surviving are his second wife, Mrs. Blanche Staggers Breese; four step-children; nine step-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Ewing of Washington, and one brother, Henry Breese of Elwood, Ind. Two brothers and one sister are deceased. Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Church Funeral Home, Waynesburg, conducted by Rev. John T. Doney and Rev. R. B. Acheson. Interment in Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville.
