a. Note:   Served in the U.S. Army, 1959 - 1961. Was drafted and ended up in the engineers at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri where his primary occupation was driving a dump truck and then his combat job was 3.5" bazooka operator.
  Years he was laid off from Ross Gear, he worked at Purdue as a custodian in the creative arts buildings. Then in the late 70's he worked for a bit at General Foods on the south side of Lafayette.
  Retired Jan 1993 Ross Gear Div. of TRW
  Died at home on 1 March 2016 at 8:00am from complications from the flu. Buried March 5th at West Point Cemetery.
  Pallbearers were Terry Jernagan, Landon Burgin, Rileigh Burgin, Craig Reeves, John Hamilton, and Brent Casey.
