 Thomas W. HARDEN appeared in Court & was duly appointed guardian for Thomas WILLIS minor orphan of Davis WILLIS deceased who entered into bond in the sum of six hundred dollars with James OSBURN his security which was accepted by the Court.
  Marshall County Tennessee Court Minutes February 1840-
 Martin W. OAKLEY clerk of this Court presented to this Court an account of a settlement made by him with Thomas H. HARDEN guardian of Thomas WILLIS for the year ending the 8th day of January 1840 which report being seen and by the Court understood was in all things
  15 Jan 1842
 Thos. H. WILLIS Deed for 45 acres of land in District No.15 executed to him by Martha WILLIS and Wm. H. Wood and filed in office 15th and recorded 22nd January 1842. We Martha WILLIS and Wm. H. Wood, have this day sold unto Thomas H. WILLIS for the sum of five hundred dollars for a tract of land in Marshall County and District no. 15 and adjoining on the line of the original tract that belonged to Davis WILLIS at the time of his death, and by Rebecca WILLIS´s lot to a stake in the road. This 15th January 1842.

  25 Mar 1845
 Thomas H. WILLIS Deed for 29 acres of land in District 15 executed by him by Wm. G. Caple and his wife and recorded 25th March 1845. We, William G. Caple and Sarah Caple, his wife and formerly Sarah WILLIS, have this day sold unto Thomas H. WILLIS for the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars for a tract of land in Marshall County and District No. 15, it being the tract of land that was set apart to the Said Sarah as heir and distribute of Davis WILLIS, deceased by partition of said estate and it being Lot No. 2 and adjoining the original line Elizabeth´s corner. This 25th March 1845.

 Thos. H. WILLIS´ Deed for 194 acres and 114 poles of land in District No. 1 executed to him by Wm. Davis and recorded 26th November 1845. I, William Davis, have this day sold unto Thomas H. WILLIS for the sum of fourteen hundred and fifty dollars for a tract of land in Marshall County and District No. 1. The first tract containing on hundred and thirty eight acres two rod and twenty three poles and adjoining Samuel Elliot´s line on the old Fayetteville Road and by the Cook´s line and by Joseph Glenn´s corner. The second tract containing twenty acres and eighty seven poles and adjoining James Elliott´s corner. The third tract containing eleven acres and forty three poles and adjoining my south boundary line. The fourth tract containing twenty four acres and 139 poles and adjoining my south west corner and to the Lewisburg Road. This 25th November 1845.
