Note: Norma spent 3 years at Washington State College, majoring in Home Economics. 1945-1948. She worked in the US Bank in Athena, OR for two years before her
marriage to Don Bauer. From then on it was raise kids, PTA, church activities, and all the necessary work to being a Mom and wife. She has become adept at counted cross-stitch and is working at becoming a quilter. She is an active genealogist and has worked with Don in renovating and furnished her dollhouse which was given her when she was eleven. In Newberg, she became adept in researching old houses while working with the City of Newberg in developing their Historic Inventory. At the same time, she and Don spent several years in renovating their own historic home and finding the necessary information to get it listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
