a. Note:   DEATH: Stan contracted bone cancer around 1986 or 1987. He endured several years of painful radiation and chemotherapy before the disease finally took
 its toll.
  BURIAL: Cemetery; Lodi, CA;
  OCC: Stan served 4 years in the Air Force; following his discharge, he was
 employed at Oregon Fiber Products in Pilot Rock, OR where he became an
 electrician apprentice; he then went to work for Boise Cascade at Wallula, WA
 where he worked as a journeyman electrician; from there he went to Samoa, CA
 where he was Safety Director for a complex of sawmills, plywood mill and pulp
 mill. He was relieved of that job by a Mormon supervisor because of Stan's
 outspoken beliefs in the Christian faith. He then worked several years
 managing Bible bookstores in various places and ultimately bought his own in
 Lodi, CA.
