Notes
a. Note:   Email received from another researcher:
Hello. My name is Troy Drew and I have been doing alot of genealogy
research on the Cox's but there is a slight problem with my research. I can
only go back to John W. Cox. Then there is almost no information on him.
Part of the family swears up and down that he was a Creek Indian but there
is no proof of this that I have found. Although I do have a picture of
Jackie A.J. Cox and her husband. I'll put it this way Jackie Cox's husband
Mr. Smoak is white but there is no way that Jackie Cox is white at least not
 all.
She is either black, mulatto, Creek, Cherokee, Hispanic, whatever but she is
definitely not all white. This may upset some people but it is the truth.
I have also heard that Cox was the white name for the family but they may
have also been known as the Saddler family.
Do you know anything that may be able to help me???? There is a group of
Creek Indians in FL that claim to be direct descendants of these two people.
Any information you have would be a big help to me.
