 OBITUARIES
 STALEY, Ethel Barbara Weeks Staley, 71, of James Island, died Saturday, July 24, 2004, at a local hospital. Born July 15, 1933, in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of John Furman and Margie Linette Weeks (nee Veno). A graduate of Charleston
 High School, she received an associate degree from a business school in Ft. Knox, Kentucky. A former employee of SC National Bank, she had also worked as teaching assistant and substitute teacher at for Charleston County Schools Ft. Johnson
 Middle School. Mrs. Staley was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for 32 years. A member of Bethel United Methodist Church, she had also attended St. Barnabas Lutheran Church. Her husband, Richard H. Staley, preceded her in death. She is
 survived by her son, Richard H. Staley, Jr., and his wife Cindy, of Tampa, Fla.; two daughters, Jane Staley Kite and her husband Bobby, North Charleston, and Lizette Drakeford Weaver and her husband Rick, of Indianapolis, Ind.; three sisters,
 Mary Clair, Grace Miller, and Mary Jahnsen, all of Charleston; six grandchildren, Michael Drakeford Stapleton, Topeka, KS, Richard Weaver, Jr., Indianapolis, IN, Angela Haines, OH, Hannah Gillespie and Katie Kite, both of Charleston, and Taylor
 Staley, Tampa, FL; one great-grandchild, Connor D. Stapleton, Topeka, KS. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at Bethel United Methodist Church, 57 Pitt St., Charleston. Interment will follow at Kinsey Cemetery,
 Round O, SC. MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, 150 Wentworth St., Charleston, is serving the Staley family. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, PO Box 224523, Dallas, TX 75222-4523. Condolences may
