Albert worked for the Atlantic Refineries (laborer) until the depression. He ha a car (a Model T Black Ford) so he then became a husckster-selling fruits and vegetables to his neighbors in need; he kept a collection book and after his death,
his daughter Dade, age 15, took the book of money owed to him and collected from his customers. She then took his car and sold it piecemeal for parts to otheres who needed them to repair their cars as parts were very scarce and expensive at
that time, therefore making more money for the family than it they had sold it intact.
