  Hi Allen,
Just wanted to share this with you and thanks for your help. Been searching for info on Catherine Hunt Owens and husband Johnnie Owens for a long time. Owens is my surname and my direct line. I have a ton of info on the Owens line; but my info
showed John James Owens married Catherine Skipper, daughter of Alfred C. Skipper and Sarah Elizabeth Rowe. But they did not have a daughter together; Catherine was a daughter of Sarah Elizabeth Rowe and John E. Hunt. But he actually married
Catherine Hunt, son of John E. Hunt and Sarah E. Rowe Hunt. However, John E. Hunt died and Sarah remarried to Alfred C. Skipper and raised Sarah's children, John and Catherine, so the census records show the children as John Skipper and
Catherine Skipper and I guess the family records did too, rather than Hunt . Anyway, in looking over your records and mine, I finally made the connection. I have updated my files at rootsweb.com>database: anderson-owens if you would like to
 look it over.

That is exactly what happened. I was really suprised when I seen the Andrea Leonardo paper with John James Owens mention his mother as Catherine Hunt. I was alway told by lore she never went back to using Hunt surname and married with Skipper
name to an Owens. That was the first concrete evident I have seen. Course the John E Hunt selling his land next to his mother Sarah & A. C. Skipper helps also.
