OWENS, Betty Joyce Betty Joyce Owens of Aurora, CO. passed away Thursday morning, she was 81 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband James Tillman Owens Jr., her son Kenneth Bruce Owens, her brother Herbert Barber, and her sister Edna Weeks. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Donnie Sullivan of Aurora, CO., her grandson James Owens and his wife Amanda along with four great grand-children Caleb, Alexis, Makenzie, and Mason, all of Jackson, GA., grandson Shawn Sullivan and his wife Meghan of Westminster, CO., and granddaughter Shannon Sullivan of Aurora, CO. She is also survived by her sister Anne Whitley of Franklin, GA., brother Gordon Barber of Fayetteville, GA. , brother Lindy Barber of Newnan, GA., and sister Shirley Smith of Alpharetta, GA. as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Thursday June 25th at 3:00pm at Jackson First Baptist Church located at 1227 West Third Street Jackson, GA. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS THE FAMILY HAS ASKED THAT DONATIONS BE MADE TO THE JACKSON FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH "GREATER THINGS" FUND.
