Note: Walter Hazard married Beulah Avant in 1908. He was in the furniture business. They had five children: Lois, Edna, Ruby, Jimmy Faye, and Walter Hazard, Jr. Aunt Beulah said Jimmy Faye was named after her insurance man. He came to see her a few
days after the baby was born and they had not yet named her. He told Aunt Beulah if she named the baby Jimmy, it would bring her good luck, so she did. Uncle Hazard died 9-22-1956.
Cousin Lois Owens Long told me that Beulah Avant's daddy-William Shuford Avant and Uncle Hazard's Stepdaddy,Daniel Stewart Avant, were Brothers.
Aunt Beulah went to school in Carver's Bay, fifth grade, one room school.
