Note: Obit-News & Courier-Charleston, SC dated May 6, 1992 :
John Thomas Staley of 2046 Medway Rd., a retired employee with Western Lace Inc. in New Jersey, died Friday in a local hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in William Stackhouse Chapel Bethel United Methodist Church. Burial,
directed by McAlister's Downtown Chapel, will be private.
Mr. Staley was born Feb. 9, 1921, in Olar, SC, a son of John Thomas Staley and Mae Lane Staley. He attended Orangeburg schools and was a Methodist.
Surviving are a daughter, Nancy J. Staley of Woodridge, N.J.; two sons, Donald J. Staley and David Staley, both of Las Vegas; a brother, Richard H. Staley of Charleston; and three sisters, Elizabeth Nowell of Bat Cave, N.C., and Letha Sports
and Rosanne Owens, both of Sumter.
