Annotation on photos in my possession indicate that his name was Bernhart. Bernhard on shipÕs records from 1926, 1927 & 1928.

BERNHARDT F. GOTTLING
Funeral services for Bernhardt F. Gottling, who died Sunday from a heart attack, will he held at his home, 910 Harlem avenue, at 2:30 P. M. tomorrow. The services will be conducted by the Rev. Asbury Smith, pastor of Rognel Heights Methodist Episcopal Church, the Rev. Allen F. Poore, of Washington, and the Rev. Milson Thomas. Burial will be in Loudon Park Cemetery. Mr. Gottling, who was 75 years of age, took an active part in the religious affairs of the city. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Alice G. Gottling; a son, Philip F. Gottling; and a daughter, Miss Mabel R. Gottling.

GOTTLING. - On January 18, 1931, BERNHARDT F., beloved husband of Alice G. Gottling and father of Philip F. and Mabel R. Gottling.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at his late residence, 910 Harlem avenue, on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 oÕclock. Interment in Loudon Park Cemetery.
