 GOTTLING-GOE
Wedding bells rang yesterday August 22, 1929, for Miss Ruth Goe, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Goe, of Grindstone, when at 4:30 in the afternoon at Friendship farm, the home of her parents, she became the bride of Mr. Philip F. Gottling, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Gottling of Baltimore, Md. The Rev. E. J. Knepshield, pastor of Little Redstone Presbyterian church, performed the ring ceremony in the presence of fifty relatives and friends of the couple. The bride's gown was an all-over lace ensemble of imported French beige over a foundation of flesh colored chiffon. She wore matching accessories and carried a handkerchief of rare India lace. Roses formed her bridal bouquet. Miss Esther H. Goe was her sisterÕs maid of honor. She wore a cape model of peach chiffon and carried old fashioned garden flowers. John Dunn of Uniontown served as best man. Just before the ceremony, Miss Mildred K. Reichard of Baltimore, a college friend of the bride, sang ÒAt Dawning.Ó The wedding music was played by Mrs. Robert Warfle of Fayette City. Laurel and smilax formed the altar before which the vows were taken. A reception and wedding dinner followed the marriage and Dr. and Mrs. Gottling then left by motor, destination unrevealed. Upon their return they will live at 1614 Bolton Street, Baltimore. Mrs. Gottling is a graduate of Goucher college and has been a member of the Connellsville high school faculty. Dr. Gottling is an alumnus of Johns Hopkins University, where he took his Ph. D. degree. He is a member of the honorary fraternity, Tau Beta Pi and the Alpha Kappa Phi. At present he holds the position of instructor in Physics at Goucher college.
