 His birth record says Dec 27 1885, BUT
  WWI Draft registration- born Dec 22, 1885; closest relative- Edith Fender; medium build, brown eyes, black hair Dec 22, 1885 is the date on the WWII registration (height 5' 5", complexion dark) and Dec 22, 1885 on his death certificate too. Perhaps birth record was a transcription error
  Grandma & Grandpa Nathaniel "Ellsworth"(aka N.E.) Fender Lived in Sunfield Twp., Eaton Co., then Irving Twp, Barry Co.. They moved to Johnstown Twp., Banfied, Barry Co. on Lacey/Banfield Rd west of Highbank Creek. They were neighbors of the Conklins.
 Later they moved to Lacey (in Barry Co. 15 miles north of Battle Creek, on SE corner of Lacey Rd and North Avenue) In later years they moved to Freeport, Barry Co., and lived with daughter Glada who helped care for Grandpa because he had suffered incapacitating strokes. After he died Grandmother purchased a house in the NW corner of Freeport.
