Sue Halford, age 89, of Vermontville, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother died Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 at the Hayes-Green-Beach Hospital in Charlotte. Mrs. Halford was born Feb. 4, 1925 in Portland, MI the daughter of Roy J. and Josephine (Hissong) DeGroft.
Surviving are: her children, David & Anne Halford of Adrian, Steve & Sharon Halford of Illinois, Mike Halford of New Jersey, Sam Halford of Indiana, Judy &Sherman Scott of Vermontville, Janice Halford of Hastings and Linda Crowden of Michigan Center. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Stella.
Sue dearly loved herfamily and friends. At her request, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or Funeral Services. A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014 at the home of Judy and Sherman Scott, 187 First Street in Vermontville, MI.
