  George H. Stanford Hastings. - George H. Stanford, 88, of 8729 S. Bedford Road, Hastings, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 1992, in Pennock Hospital, Hastings. Mr. Stanford was bom Oct 17, 1903 in Grand Rapids to William and Jennie (DeSmkft) Stanford. He was raised in Irving Township, Barry County, and attended Irving School He worked at the former Hastings Furniture Factory. He also hauled milk and fanned. His family moved to the Dowling area in 1920s and has lived there ever since. ' , He was a member of Dowling Country Chapel of the United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. He also was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons.
 He married the former Nina J. Conklin, Nov. 19, 1933. She survives. Other survivors include daughters, Ruth Arm Dudgeon of Kalamazoo and Joanne VanAmeyden of Dowling; .....
