Note: Title: History of Ingham and Eaton counties, Michigan, with illustrations and biographical sketches of their prominent men and pioneers. Author: Durant, Samuel W. pg 487 Harvey Wilson, from Orleans Co., N. Y., and for some time a resident of Oakland Co., Mich., married a sister of Mrs. Daniel B. Bowen, and in 1838 removed to Kalamo. He purchased land a mile and a quarter north of Mr. Bowen, and lived in the house with the latter while building for himself. His brother, Peter Wilson, came later. George Wilson, not related to the above, settled in the township in 1843, and stopped a few days also with Mr. Bowen, after which he moved into the log school-house, a short distance away, which he occupied until he could build a house on his own place. He is now living in Charlotte. His brother, Thomas Wilson, who settled at a later date, is still a resident of Kalamo. These gentlemen are of English parentage. Is one of these 1840 families theirs ? The 1st matches best, but the 2nd might include George's brother, J Thomas Wilson ??????? 1840 U.S. Census Records, (official enumeration day - June 1 1840), New York > Montgomery > Canajoharie, pg 53, George Wilson (Jr) 20-29, woman 30-39, 1 boy 10-14, 2 boys & 1 girl 0-4, ????
