Bishop Weds. Much interest was created by yesterday afternoon's wedding at St. Andrew's Cathedral; that of Bishop Edward N. Wilton to Miss Tamar Watson, and although arrangements were quietly carried out, owing to Court mourning, the cathedral was filled with friends of the bride and bridegroom. The bridegroom is the only son of the late Mr. John Wilton, of Melbourne, and Mrs. Wilton, of Mosman, and the bride is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Watson, of Camden. The bride wore a reception gown of powder blue sheer and a matching hat, and carried a bouquet of Talisman and cream roses. The two bridesmaids were the Misses Lorna Cox and Alice Hunter, whose gowns were of Margaret rose pink crepe, and who wore blue straw hats and carried bouquets of Cambridge blue delphiniums and pink carnations. Dr. P. A. Micklem officiated, assisted by Canon H. N. Baker, of St. Thomas', North Sydney. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. Walter Watson. The Rev. George Edmondson sang during the signing of the register. After the ceremony, relatives of the bride and bridegroom and a few friends were entertained at afternoon tea at the home of the bridegroom's mother in Mosman. -------------------- The Argus (Melbourne, Vic. : 1848 - 1957), Saturday 25 January 1936, page 15 SYDNEY WEDDING Wilton- Watson SYDNEY, Thursday. - Much interest was taken in the wedding at St Andrew's Cathedral of Bishop Edward Nowill Wilton former assistant Bishop of Melanesia, to Miss Tamar Watson, and although arrangements were carried out quietly owing to Court mourning, the cathedral was filled with friends of the bride and bridegroom. The bridegroom is the only son of the late Mr. John Wilton of Melbourne and Mrs. Wilton of Mosman (Sydney) and the bride is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Watson, of Camden (N.S.W.). The bride's gown of pale sky blue silk was worn with a charming hat in the same shade and she carried a bouquet of creamy roses. The two bridesmaids were the Misses Lorna Cox and Alice Hunter, wearing blue straw hats with their frocks of Margaret Rose pink silken crepe. Their bouquets were of blue delphiniums and pink carnations. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. Walter Watson and the ceremony was performed by Dr. P. A. Micklem assisted by Canon H. N.
