NEW CHURCH AT BUNDARRA.
FOUNDATION BLESSING.
On Sunday, January 19, the foundation-stone of the new church at Bundarra was laid by his Lordship the Bishop of Armidale, assisted by the following priests: Very Rev. Dean Guerrini, Very Rev. Dean Tobin, Rev. Fathers English, Harrington, and Foley.
After the ceremony the Bishop expressed his great pleasure at being present to lay the foundation-stone of a new church for Bundarra. When it was finished according to the plans it would be a credit to the people of Bundarra. His Lordship appealed to those present to place a substantial sum on the stone.
In response, the sum of p266 7s 3d was collected.
His Lordship and priests were subsequently entertained at a banquet on the spacious verandah of the presbytery.
