  The Late Shooting Case at Callan Park -
 Some time back one of the attendants at the Callan Park Hospital for the Insane, named Price, was accidentally shot under peculiarly distressing circumstances. He left a widow and a large family of young children. At the Leichhardt Town Hall on Friday night Mr. R. Booth, M.L.A., who has interested himself in the matter of obtaining some compensation for the widow, stated that the Chief Secretary had granted p500 to Mrs. Price, to be paid at the rate of p100 a year, and that at the end of five years the case might be reopened, and whatever was then thought necessary to be done for the family would be considered.

  Sydney, Monday - Mrs Price, widow of the warder who was accidentally shot at the Callan Park asylum, has been granted p500 by the Government, the grant to be paid in five yearly instalments. Further claims of the widow will then be considered.
