Patricia Dorothy O'Reilly was born, raised and had a good education in Sydney, New South Wales. She was a quiet, shy and retiring woman yet someone with a strong mindset.
She married James Farrell and had four children. She loved her family very much and also loved her career. She started out nursing and then due to ill health and suffering from bad kidneys all her life she decided to go into accountancy. She worked at the Parramatta Office of the Australian Taxation Office for many years while the children were growing up at 4 Cabramatta Avenue, Miller, and when the family purchased a home on The Entrance Road at Long Jetty, she decided to move up the coast and commute to the Newcastle Office. She loved this lifestyle very much as she was a very keen fisherwoman.
Her husband Jim maintained his job in Sydney and commuted up to Long Jetty every weekend to be with the family. Her plan was to retire and work her accountancy business from an office she set up at home but the onset of cancer put these dreams on hold.
Pat died on 24 July 1989 and was sadly missed by all her family.

FARRELL - The relatives and friends of the late PATRICIA DOROTHY FARRELL of Long Jetty are invited to attend her funeral service to be held at the All Saints Anglican Church, The Entrance Road, The Entrance, tomorrow (Thursday), at 2.30pm.
Following the service the cortege will proceed to the Palmdale Crematorium
