He was Raymond Lane (38), of Coonamble, married. He was Raymond Lane. 33, married, of Namoi Street, Coonamble. After being dragged out of the water the first time Lane went home and changed his clothes and returned. His companion quickly pulled him out of the water when he fell in the second time but he failed to respond to artificial respiration. -------------------------------------------------------- The Newcastle Sun (NSW : 1918 - 1954), Wednesday 2 April 1952, page 5 SYDNEY. - A fisherman was drowned last night when he fell in the Castlereagh River, near Coonamble. He had fallen in the river a short time before and returned in dry clothes. The dead man was Raymond Lane (38), married with two children, of Namoi St., Coonamble. He and several mates were fishing on the banks of the Castlereagh when Lane slipped from the steep bank the first time.
