Note: ------------------------ William Thomas Watson was born on 9 Feb 1891 in Rockhampton, Queensland. His family moved to Merrylands, Sydney, in 1893. William fought in World War I in the Battle of Fromelles, in the front line of the Western Front, Somme, France. He served in the 59th Battalion, 8th Reinforcement, 5th Division. In World War II he served again in the 36th Battalion, 1st A.I.F. Infantry, WW2 Naval Ordinance Depot. Bill was wounded in the war and was sent to France to recover.
