Note: ------------------------- The Inverell Times (NSW : 1899 - 1954), Monday 9 August 1937, page 4 ARCHITECT'S SUCCESS Former Inverellite Mr. Arthur G. Wilson who was assistant to Mr. F. L. Bishop, architect, formerly of Peel-street, Tamworth, has made marked progress in his profession. Twelve years ago he entered the office of the well-known architects, Messrs. Hennessey, Hennessey and Co., Martin Place, Sydney, and he has been associated with that firm in the erection of many important buildings in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Newcastle and in New Zealand. Mr. Wilson obtained the highest degree of his calling, and is a member of the Associated British Institute of Architects (A.R.I.B.A.). He is now in London, having travelled by Imperial Airways Ltd, and left Sydney on June 14 last, with Mr. John Hennessey, chief of Hennessey, Hennessey and Co., who have been entrusted by leading insurance offices with the preparation of plans and the erection of large office buildings at Birmingham, Liverpool and other centres. It is the intention of Mr. Wilson to visit several European capitals during his stay abroad, and he will return to Australia via America at the end of the year. The gentleman above referred to is a grandson of the late Mr. Charles Wilson, who perished in the big fire at Inverell in 1901, and also a grandson of the late Mr. M. H. Girle.
