Note: ---------------------------------------------------------- Windsor and Richmond Gazette (NSW : 1888 - 1954), Saturday 20 October 1894, page 5 Social. The marriage of Miss Rachael Norris, (third daughter of Mr. T. Norris, of Kurrajong Slopes) to Mr. Edward Hennessy, of Blaxland's Ridge took place at the R.C. Church, Kurrajong, on Wednesday the 10th inst, the Rev. Father Hanrahan officiating. Misses Marie and Ada Norris, sisters of the bride, were the bridesmaids, and Mr. J. McMahon, nephew to the bridegroom, gave the bride away. After the marriage service had been gone through, the happy couple drove to the home of the bride's parents, followed by a number of relatives and after all the hearty congratulations and hand-shaking had subsided, all were invited to the wedding-breakfast, and which was splendidly prepared, and really a credit to Mrs. Norris's skill in the culinary branch of housewifery. This important part of the ceremony being over, the company spent a few pleasant hours in conversation, when the happy couple left for their home at Blaxland's Ridge, amid a shower of old shoes and rice, taking with them the best wishes of all who know them, for a happy and prosperous future. ---------------------------------------------------------------
