  OBITUARY.
  MRS MARY LANDERS, SEN.
  Last week one of the oldest residents of Coonamble, Mrs. Mary Landers, senr., passed away at the ripe age of 74 years. Deceased was the mother of Messrs. John, Michael, Peter and William Landers, and sister of Mr. M. Gilligan. She was highly respected and esteemed by all who knew her, and her family possess the deepest sympathy of many friends throughout the district. The remains were brought in from Tourable, and many towns people joined in the sad procession at the Warrana Creek bridge, following to the old cemetery where the interment took place. Rev. Fathers O'Farrell and O'Donnell officiated at the grave. R. I. P.

  DOINGS OF 32 YEARS AGO
  (From the files of Coonamble "Independent," 1902)
  Early on Tuesday 11th November, 1902, there passed over to the Great Majority, one of the oldest residents of the district, in the person of Mrs. Mary Landers, Sen., at the age of 74 years. Deceased was the mother of Messrs. John, Michael, Peter and William Landers and sister to Mr. P. Gilligan. The remains were brought in from Tourable, the Rev. Fathers O'Farrell and O'Donnell officiating at the graveside.
