 Possibly also the father of the Thomas Payne, born Otterhampton, Somerset c1791, who was an inmate at Bath Union Workhouse, Lyncombe and Widcombe, Somerset (as a widowed pauper and draper's assistant) at time of 1851 census (age 59) and who was possibly a witness to this John's daughter Ann's 1st marriage in 1810.
