  He worked most of his life for the C. B. & Q. Railroad. He never married and was living in Trempealeau with his parents during the 1880 US Census. He was living in Trempealeau with his younger brother Charles during the 1900 and 1910 US Census.
  His death on 30 Aug 1911 is recorded in the La Crosse Diocese Book 1, Deaths/Burials, 1874-1913, St. Bartholomew Church, Trempealeau.
