a. Note:   NI21047 On all census records, the age of Martin Possin was consistently overstated by exactly one year. Perhaps he thought his date of birth was 11 Nov 1800 instead of 11 Nov 1801. On the Passenger Ship's Manifest when he sailed from Germany to the US in 1848, his age was stated as 48 which would seem to indicate that his proper year of birth was 1800. Only his obituaries and gravestone seem to indicate 1801. No birth records from Germany have been discovered.
