Notes
a. Note:   William didn't stay long in Williams County, Ohio after his parents moved the entire family there about 1845 and they all appeared in the census of 1850 in Williams County. By about 1855 he had moved to Jefferson County, Wisconsin and married there shortly thereafter. He was the only family member to relocate to Wisconsin. Jefferson county is located in the southern part of the state and the small towns of Hebron and Palmyra where they were living were on the southern edge of the county only about 50 miles from the Illinois state line.
There was another William Arnsberger married to a Samantha and they were living in Whitewater, Walworth County, Wisconsin but to my knowledge he was not related to this branch of the Arnsbergers. Because of the various spellings of the surname and the limited census and vital records information coming out of Wisconsin, it is difficult to not get the two mixed up.
 ---------------------------------------
William's name was listed as one of the sons on his father's probate letter in Williams County, Ohio on 5 Jan 1880. Probate #2182 - Lists William Arnsberger residing at Bark River, Sedgwick County, Wisconsin. This has me puzzled because there is no such county as Sedgwick County, Wisconsin but there is a Sedgwick community in the far northern county of Ashland, Wisconsin. Across the state line into Northern Michigan is an area called Bark River and I'm wondering if William weren't there for a short period of time. Otherwise, the 1880 census actually places William in Jefferson County which is much father to the south, only about 50 miles from the Illinois state line. His sister, Susannah, married Daniel Lightfoot and later resided in or adjacent to Sedgwick County, Kansas so perhaps that is where the confusion in the Probate Court lies.

b. Note:   NF12426
Note:   The marriage location was probably in Wisconsin because Phebe is found in the 1850 census living with her parents in Hebron, Jefferson County, Wisconsin. And since William was found in the 1850 census back in Wayne County, Ohio, and their first child was born in 1856 in Wisconsin, it is safe to assume that the marriage was about 1855 in Wisconsin.
