Note: NI3438 In the 1900 census, his occupation was listed as General Merchant but unless he actually gave up his medical practice, the enumerator mixed up his occupation with his son who was living next door and he was also listed as a General Merchant.

There seems to be no official birth record for Henry to confirm a birth year of 1831. Yet all but one census record supports a birth year of 1832 instead of 1831. Only the 1900 census specifically indicates 1831 but his age is consistently understated on all other census records if one assumes that 1831 was the correct year. If one assumes 1832 to be the correct year, then all census records conform to his age expect for the 1900 census.
